Skill Up Tragedy

So today is 2x skill up.

I saved 30 Robin manuals and only managed to level her skill from 17 -> 14
(3 times with 5 manuals had nothing happening and rest 3 times only 1 each)

and then I CASUALLY used 13 Smokers to skill up, and it went from 22 -> 15 (max)

*Sigh*

Enough about me, please share your stories of frustration trying to skill up.

I only got 10 smokers to level up the skill from my smoker, and it goes up 0 level. Afterwards I gave 6 Tashigis to mine and her skill goes 3 levels up...
I think I will never use her, but anyway her skill is already level 6...   why she?

i hear ya guys... its so random. But even with x2 and 30 manuals only 3 levels.. that might top my list of bad luck skill ups

I used around 50 fullbody books during the last skillup event and only got 1 skillup. Skillup is a lie

How many Garp had these people farmed, who have the CD at max...??

I got 13 Garps (used about 10 gems to get them) and now after fusing them, my Garps CD is still level 1... all the work for nothing (only that Garp is now a bit leveled...)

MASI576 I hear ya.. but im sure luck has a huge factor in it. I farmed on and off till the 1 hour before garp ended and im at lv 13 (2 of max). My skill up went roughly (from my memory) like this:
5 garp, 2 skill up! Hey this is gonna be easy!
5 garp, nothing
5 garp, 1 skill up
5 garp, nothing
5 garp, nothing
5 garp, nothing, Mo....F.....R!
5 garp, 2 skill up
5 garp, nothing
5 garp, 1 skill up
5 garp nothing
5 garp nothing
5 garp, 2 skill up
5 garp, nothing
5 garp, 2 skill up
5 garp, nothing
5 garp, nothing,
5 garp, 1 skill up
5 garp, 2 skill up
5 garp, nothing (this time I was praying to get 2 skill ups to max it)

after the last nothing I didnt have enough energy to get another 5 as it was nearly 3 am in the morning and garp event was over at 4am.
I spend like 30 gems to refill stamina and died around 8-9  times
I guess ill have to wait till he comes around again to max him

I just hoped to get at least one level, but as you said, luck is a huge factor...
But I think your Garp is already on the way to max, so many other Garps you fused in to him 

I just need a team that can kill the raid boss without gems, Zoro/Vivi needs too much time and isn't funny or interesting...

oh forgot to mention, my girlfriend did 3 garp runs with vivi/laboon. 1 keeper and fused other two  and guess what? she got 2!!! 2 skill ups! lol. To be honest I think when an account is created it's destiny is made. Some accounts have more luck in pulls, some drops, some lvl up. Of course thats my own theory. And with money you have every "luck"

lol she dropped another 1 G3 skillbook and again lvl up. Thats a 100% skill up rate so far

Honest questions:
What's the deal with guys that use multiple gems to do Raid Boss multiple times just to try to level up a special? I would wait until the skill book island appear, collect, and level up the essential characters during 2x rate up. Otherwise, it's a waste of gems isn't it?

That being said, I'm also guilty of wasting gems when I shouldn't.

On my first 30 stamina Alvida run, I got 2 big turtles and several chests, so I wasted 2 gems at the boss instead of giving up and adding Helmeppo to remove her defense like I did in subsequent runs. *sobs*

The big deal is: Raid bosses have NO skillbooks. Their skill Level can ONLY be leveled with farming more raid bosses. Most of the people save those clones for 2x skill up.

Ah, didn't know that. How inefficient. That basically means the only players that can get low Raid boss skill levels either have a lot of money or a lot of luck.

When The Morgan Weekly Isle was on, I got around 20 skillbooks. Not one Skill lvl up

another example how my girlfriends account has better luck in skill up then pull or drops.
I think by now we all know alvida sb drop really rare and her skill ups are the same.
Well she dropped 3 so far and...
1 drop - skill up, 1 drop - no skill up, 1 drop - skill up.
While i do 15 sb's and 1 skilll up... lol the accounts are rigged when you create em!

could be, but for example, I used about 15 Smokers while double skill up, but got no skill up, the same with Garp
But with Alvida, NO double skill up, I got 3 levels with 2 Alvidas 4* (unit) and 3 skillbooks
So I think it can't be a strict rule or something like that...

Alvida is anyway a little bit special, I think...
