How To Defeat Duval
“Iron Mask” Duval is here!! Are you ready for the Technique Shooter unit that may make his way into certain Shooter/Technique teams?
Rewards:

“Iron Mask” Duval
Classification: Technique Shooter
Captain Skill: At the start of Adventure, reduce all Cooldowns by 3; If Orb matches, Technique units gain 2.75x ATK
Special (28 turns -> 14 Turns): Reduce all enemies’ health by 20%; Reduce all incoming damage by 50% for 1 turn
While not the most amazing Captain… Duval excels as a crew-member/sub for your crew. Every part of that special is valuable and comes at a fairly low Cooldown. His stats aren’t too bad to match either. Overall – a fairly strong unit for a sub but not as a Captain, except you can get matching orbs every turn of cuorse.Island
Island is only available in 30 and 40 Stamina.
The 40-Stamina edition is covered in great detail due to its overall higher difficulty and the fact that 30 Stamina is extremely similar to 40 Stamina simply with lower stats (mobs/boss have lower hp and attack etc.)

Stage | Notes |
Stage 1/5 Typical mob stage. You should be able to stall for 2 turns without take damage. The mobs hit for 2,016 damage if you dare take a hit.
Stage 2/5 Don’t get intimidated by this stage You should be able to stall for 5 or more turns here. The Teenage Turtle has 9 HP and hits for 1,220 damage The Lobster has 20 HP and hits for a heavy 3,980 damage.
Stage 3/5 Mob + Pirate Penguin + Elder Seahorse The Seahorse has 6 HP and if you aren’t familiar with Seahorses in Raid Bosses… They’ll lock. The Penguin will buff his Attack and Defense when he gets to attack (but doesn’t do any damage until next turn)/ The mobs will all do things (so beware!!) not necessarily when they attack but after your first attack.

Stage 4/5 MINIBOSS: “Iron Mask” Duval Health: ??? Damage: 4,516 First part of the fight! Duval will preemptively change all your units’ orbs to [Bother] orbs and Poison you. Poison will deal approximately 700 damage per turn. When Duval’s HP reaches 50%; He will gain Berserk (remove all Turn Delays and increase his attack). NOTE: The trouble here isn’t so much Duval as the 3 green female mobs behind him. They will silence your Friend Captain for 2 turns each and deal a nice 3,500 damage. It is highly recommended to take out these 3 first.
Stage 5/5 BOSS: “Black Leg” Sanji… I mean Duval Oh… Duval… This fight is fairly straightforward… General strategy is to clear them all in 1 turn (via double Blackbeard) or just crush them manually… If you’ve survived til here – He doesn’t really do much to threaten you. It is advised that you burst Duval from 51% health to 0 as he has certain nasty abilities when he hits 50% health (a trend that Raid Bosses have been recently getting). |

Unit Recommendation
Blackbeard Teams (Many Variations)

Requirements: Blackbeard Special MAX

Overall a very solid and probably one of the easiest teams to farm Duval with.
Rayleigh Teams (GameWith’s Fastest Clear – 14 Turns Clear)
Requirements: Donquixote Doflamingo Special MAX

The idea behind this team is to burst down as fast and hard as possible. Double Blackbeard Specials should do a massive amount of damage to Duval.
You have 2 turns of orb manipulation in this team (to make use of 2 turns of SW Franky’s Special) if you need it (which you likely won’t).
- Bartholomew Kuma + SW Franky Combo
- Bepo + Rob Lucci (CP9) Combination

This team clears Stages 1 to 4 within 11 turns. Which should be fairly trivial (as long as you survive with 5,151 HP minimum to survive the preemptive). Following that just hit Duval with Golden Pound’s Delay and the rest of the fight should be fairly straightforward.

The strategy here is to use Golden Pound on Stage 4 to ensure those Silencers don’t bother you. That will essentially make that usually troubling stage a piece of cake.
In stage 5, take out the mobs before dealing with Duval. If he locks you (and hopefully it isn’t Helmeppo) – simply unlock and finish off the match.
