Fricken Whitebeard lol
So the moment we have all been waiting for has come...More literally, it has snuck up behind us, did a somersault and slapped us across the face. Come on Bandai.
Well, at any rate I'm sure we're all well prepared for this upcoming event right? Using "prepare" in the most mild manner possible, by which I mean dangerously flailing your arms around as you helplessly stare at your notification screen and have a panic attack. You know, we only had about 2 MONTHS taken away from us, but it's no biggie. Well, at least they were kind enough to announce it two days ahead of time. Who knows? Maybe next time they'll announce a day after the event is over.
Jokes aside, this is a really serious situation we're facing. With such little prior notice, I'm assuming that not many of you have saved up as many gems as you were hoping before this event occurred. If you anything like me, by which I mean you already spent a large portion of your gems on pulling and just started to save when this notice came out, then...your screwed. That is, unless you're willing to spend a crap ton of money by tomorrow (which nevertheless, is totally worth it). With no other way to collect gems super fast for free on one account, you can only pray to Enel that the scanty 5-10 gems you have left will pull you a miracle. Without enough gems, your options are viable. Still, I can't help but think Bandai is doing this on purpose.
Naturally, we all want to pull some of these bad-ass gatchas coming out tomorrow. I myself want Marco the Phoneix, a great captain or filler for my Shanks/Dial Usopp Psy team. But seriously, what are our chances? Right now, even the people who have been saving gems since February would have only around 100 gems, which is not sufficient when considering the 300+ gems spent just to get Whitebeard in Japanese servers. With this sudden announcement, people are thrown into a frenzy of needing to collect more gems, but after realizing that they have already beat the crap out of all stages of Arlong 15 times, defeated 0-Stamina 30 times, and completed Laboon Island 2 days ago, one's options are limited. Then only way to even have a CHANCE of getting a SUGO unit is to spend real money. In this sense, Bandai is implicitly forcing us to spend money in-game. Not that it's a big deal, since the whole point of pulls was to earn money-back from the community, but this is just plain dirty.
Of course, there are also plus sides to this early release as well. Many people who stood no chance of getting Mihawk up till now suddenly sees a beacon of light right before their eyes. Any of these units is extremely valuable and can easily incorporate itself into your Mihawk team and completely decimate the greatest swordsman in the world. Also, ignoring the theory proposed above, Bandai could simply be speeding up the game so that in Global we can have more fun and experiences alot faster. With all due respect, Bandai's intentions are surly good right?
In the end however, the reality is that the Whitebeard batch is being released tomorrow. Whether you're prepared or not, be ready for one hell of a storm, and good luck!

Got 30 gems, didn't spend 1 since v2 Strawhat release. Hopefully I pull a Marco, Shanks, or WB.

- I'll also be uploading the video of my pulls to my YouTube account if anyone's interested in watching me fail

Well said OP. Only downside to this is the 2 days notice which many of us will either have a few pulls or will have to spend money on this. There are more upsides to this early and sudden release. Im thinking they want to speed up global to catch up so they can eventually release same contents on both servers? Practically making it the same game, now the global is in a totally different ballpark with the jap server. Anyway I'll be spending around £30-40 depending on what I pull with my 20 current gems! GL all
