getting mihawk

hi guys!!! so, the 24h event is coming, so i'd like to know:
-do i have any chance to get mihawk? for the moment i'm using a slasher team with arlong, asura zoro, tashigi (evolved), usopp (sogeking, i didn't follow this forum before and didn't know that golden pound was better ) and v2 rufy... i also have a buugi and a kuro, but both are unevolved, so i'm trying to power up them before putting into the team.
-if so, what i've to do till apr.21 to maximize the odds to get him? oh what characters should i focus? i read somewhere that the vivi+laboon is a good strategy to beat the boss, but i don't have any of them... could i get laboon from cape town island and get vivi as a friend captain? and which characters should complete my team?

go for laboon and use crabs...if u find a high level vivi friend u can even use arlong as filler to speed up... u can farm laboon on c9 and c10

Just a heads up. I got my laboon from stage 10 in the end after trying a few times on stage 9. It most likely a matter of luck. Stage 9 drop pirate penguin psy and INT, and state 10 give more xp and more rounds for cola.

Oh another note the level of laboon might be different at well between state 9 and stage 10. Mine is at level 10, but I saw someone on my friend list got theirs at level 5. So stage 9 might be a better choose over all.

Nah Sawoji, I wouldn't say your situation is hopeless, but to put it bluntly you wouldn't get far with the team you started above unless you are willing to spend ALOT of gems, although, it wouldn't hurt to try, since it only costs one gem to refill stamina.

Like most of the posters here said already, go for Vivi+Laboon, but if you think you're pretty lucky and would like to go for an alternative, try rerolling for a Lion Song Zoro. If you get a decent Vivi Helper Captain, it will make it a whole lot better in the long run.

At this point, I wouldn't suggest going for a G3 Luffy even if you do manage to pull one, since considering the limited amount of time left, you won't be able to train a decent team for it even with farming red turtles from Arlong. (Unless your team consists of G3, G3, Arlong, and 3 Utility users).

thanks everybody!! just a question about rerolling: i read how to do it, but i didn't got what you exactly keep and what you lose... you don't lose everything, right? you keep your character box, if i got it right, AND you have the possibility to get a strong captain (best at the moment are shanks, ace and G3 luffy?)... but what about rainbow gems? you lose them? at the moment i've about 30, it'd be a pity!

It should be "I'll try to get a Laboon OR a miss Wednesday", you can't use both as captain. And as Laboon doesn't have to be leveled to be of any use, you should focus on getting that whale + a high lvl Vivi helper friend.

yes i know, i'd like to get vivi anyway, not for the mihawk event... and i probably don't have enough time to evolve her properly, neither... so for the moment i'll try to get that whale and search for friends with a strong vivi captain, it should be enough to beat the boss

Just remember that for the laboon vivi to work you need to have some skills in color vs color strength and weaknesses (eg. str > dex > qck). If you get hit by more then 1 mob at a time you might be a goner. Also prepare to sit for an hour maybe two if you do manage to get to mihawk (double the time if stam 40)

i know, but the important thing is to start the battle during the event... i mean, i don't have so much time to waste, but even if i quit the game and restart the next day from where i left i don't lose the chance to get mihawk, right? besides the 40 stam has 100% drop, i think... as for the skills, i'll probably use crabs, they've the highest ratio HP/ATK, but it'll depend on how strong my vivi captain will be and if i get hit multiple times, i don't mind using a couple of gems, the important thing is to get to the final stage xD anyway, i'll think about it when i'll get this damn whale; it's two days that i'm trying over and over lvl 9 and still nothing... .-.

Do whatever you have to for your first Mihawk, that includes using gems to continue. This game is pretty generous with free gems, it can't be hard to save up 10 gems before Mihawk event if you start now. Laboon + Vivi guarantees victory even in 40 sta version, which guarantees your first Mihawk. You may have to use some gems to get past stages 1~4 due to the low level crew you have to bring with Laboon/Vivi team but I'd rather do that than beat 30 sta version only to find Mihawk didn't drop. In Japanese version once I got my first Mihawk using Laboon/Vivi I started to look for ways to beat 40 stam version without having my own Luffy G3 or use Laboon/Vivi. After seeing this video I put together a similar team of my own and I beat 40 stam Mihawk with 0 gem on second try.

The team in the video is made up with

Captain: Luffy G2 lv79, skill lv0
Enraged Arlong lv52, skill lv1
Axe-hand Morgan: lv50, skill lv0
Smooth Alvida: lv35, skill lv0
Golden Pound Usopp: lv50, skill lv0
Friend: Luffy G3 lv49, skill lv0

Total hp with boost from Merry Go was 9182. First 4 stages were used to get Alvida and Usopp's abilities ready, by the time he entered Mihawk stage he had 6716 hp. After Mihawk pre-emp 4k, 2716 hp left. Use Alvida's ability, by the time the round ends after Mihawk's attack, 720 hp left. Use Usopp's ability and burn Mihawk down in next 4 rounds.

My own team had a lower level Luffy G2, at the time it was just below lv70 w no skill level. My Enraged Arlong was lv50ish w skill lv3, Smooth Alvida lv50ish w no skill level, and my Golden Pound Usopp was lv50 w skill lv4. I didn't have Axe-Hand Morgan, I used lv50 Kurobbi instead. Friend captain was Luffy G3 lv60+. As you can see the team was made up with either characters given for free or from Arlong event. Levels weren't very high and skill level has no impact here. The key is to have a decent leveled Luffy G3 friend and the ability to hit consecutive perfects.

it's a good strategy, but my STR team isn't so strong, and i don't have enough time to level it properly... so i think i'll follow the vivi+laboon strategy, i know it'll be boring but is the only way

Nothing wrong with Vivi/Laboon team, it's means to an end for your first Mihawk. However once you have your Mihawk, evolved it, and put some decent levels on it, you are going to start thinking about raising his skill level, at 32CD, most fights are over long before the ability is ready to use. Mihawk doesn't have skill books so the only way to raise his skill level is by getting more Mihawks. Vivi/Laboon simply takes too long when the goal is to farm 15+ Mihawks within the 24hr he is available. This is an alternative to not relying on rare gacha cards which not everyone will have the luck of owning.

Including initial release the event has been available 8 times, roughly once a month.

Wow that's a lot to be honest. Though I feel like global is left out lots. Dunno how it was in Japan initial release. But it seems Japanese players get daily updates.
