I can't buy gems with my balance PLZ HELP Empty I can't buy gems with my balance PLZ HELP

Today I went to my local shop and got a £10 voucher for google play. With the new sugofest on japan being tomorrow I added the money to my google play account. When I go to buy rainbow gems it gives me the price in sterling for example it tells me (on japan version) that 30 gems is £10.32 but when I select the store credit payment it changes the price to dollars and tells me I can't finish the transaction because the currency isn't correct. I checked all my settings and I am set to the UK in location settings can anyone help me?
