Do 2.5x captains work well for turtle time?

I've heard Marco is very effective at clearing INT turtles, but will 2.5x still work effectively?

I don't have Marco, so I just use Shanks (double shanks or Shanks/Marco)
It works very good, I only have problems with the elder turtle in the last stage, because I don't have Marine Full Body...
the other turtles I don't have problems (if the Orb isn't bad...)

shanks is ok as long as you hit perfects first 2-3 turns. Marco can perfect first then others can do great or good depending on their lvls. Even the elder turtle I can kill with 3 psy orbs
